A very sweet, quiet 22 year old lives in my apartment building. Recently his wife passed away. Since then, he’s been extremely upset. The other day, I saw him coming home. He looked like he’d been crying. A 6 year old ran up to him and asked, “David, will you at least smile for Lia, wherever she is?” And through his tears, he did.

Another failing.
I just blew up at my dad. Hugely. He is so helpless, and so apathetic, etc, etc, typical teenage garbage. Yes, it’s true, he shouldn’t harass me the way he does. He shouldn’t constantly poke and prod and be violent, but the truth is, I shouldn’t have reacted like that.

I was sitting on the bus, depressed, and I had this little girl looking at me. She and smiled and asked “You look sad…did your fish die? My sister’s fish died and she was sad…but then she got another one and was happy again so don’t worry…you can get another fish.” She then got off the bus with her mom.

So, my friend says last night “Oh hey guys, I’m preggers”. And of course I don’t believe her, because she is a lesbian. And 16….and so it just doesn’t make any sense that she would be. But it triggered a conversation.
